wire wheel
wire wheel
i recently bought some new toys, and among them, a wire wheel. This piece was a botched drill job turned guinea pig. the wire wheel is pretty course, and it made sandblast-looking rustication. i loved it
and heres the wire wheel itself, mounted on my laid down drill press.

You could call it nut-sack rustication.

Re: wire wheel
Pfft. Do it whatever way you like. One thing is for certain, it leaves a very deep and craggy surface that's sure to please a lot of folks when they see it in person. Looks like bark, almost - or extremely weathered rock.bregolad wrote:now its ruined, dammit. i can't do it that way anymore
See Devil's Tower:
Or El Capitan:
Your rustication looks like a cross between the two, with the linear structure of the igneous plug of Devil's Tower, and the organic weathering of El Capitan.
Re: wire wheel
Could you please show some more pics? I'd be intersted how does the rest of the pipe look...
