Box of Briar!
Wasn't sure where to put this one so thought this the fitting spot.
I ordered a good sized order of briar back in March. The guy I ordered it from said 20-25 days to ship to my door. Well I waited and waited. Then emailed several times, with no response. So I started emailing every day to two different email addresses. I finally got a response after a month or so. Then the excuses started. Well Long story short, after only a long 7 months, my box of briar showed up....... Only about half what I ordered, but the briar is all Plateaux, and part of my order was Eubachons. So I'm happy now, all be it I have less blocks to practice on.
Anyway, here is what showed up, and I now can get back into the shop and play!

Re: Box of Briar!
Hi
well, well i have waited over year for my 50 blocks same story, presume same dealer.
I have a theory that there is briar production have annual schedule or similar so the cutter cannot send over the cuted volume. therefore we receive it with a huge delay.
By the way, check if the blocks are well dried, better leave them for a month or more at room temperature and check for changes.
Best

it was algerian briar from Yazid. Frankly speaking he send me all the blocks as promised. I presume there was a problem with the mail services in Algeria and in Bulgaria, so the first parcel lost. That's the story. However, I've invested about 500 USD for over one year in this delivery which was not so big, 50 blocks only.

One week by Surface Mail from Spain to the USA, small order 4 blocks, picture package, really nice briar. There was a week delay processing my paypal payment which was my fault, so the total time was 2 weeks.restever99 wrote:Just checked out their site. Gonna place an order. Super awesome stuff. Also thanks to GbpBulgaria for the info. Glad you finally got your briar, but you should not have to wait that long, and you are not the only one. I have read other similar reports about Yazid orders.
