Bakelite

Post by PeteB »

Does anyone know where I might purchase a few pieces of bakelite to put on a few personal pipes. I know it is very scarse but surely there is a few pieces out there a person could buy.

if you are talking about stems you might want to check out jh lowe. http://www.jhlowe.com/bits-bakelite.htm if you mean rod it says to all on his site. I'm sure if he doesn't have it he might know where to get it.

Pete: I have some bakelite. How much do you need? I have a 1" rod about 12" long. Very hard to work but it really is marvelous looking stuff. Light creamy yellow. A lot like Larry Roush is using on some stems. Let me know. Oldred.
