Briar For Sale

Post by RadDavis »

Hi Guys,

I've got some Grecian plateaux briar that's been sitting around my shop for about three years, and I rarely use it.

This is not high quality briar, although it's the same stuff I made my first 300 or so pipes with. There will be pits and flaws to get around, but the wood is well cured and makes a fine smoking pipe.

For some of you new pipe makers looking for inexpensive wood, it would be ideal for working with real briar while not spending a ton of money for it.

They are 6 oz blocks (minis) and approx 15-17 of them will fit in an 11" x 81/2" x 5 1/2" flat rate box.

The price is $7.00 per block plus $10.35 for shipping in the US. If you order more that 15-17 blocks, the shipping will be higher.

Please don't ask me to sort through them for the "best block possible". I'll just grab them out of the burlap bag and pack them up. I won't pack any freakish looking or deformed/cracked blocks. :D

Email me if you're interested or have questions: rad@raddavispipes.com

Thanks!

Mine arrived Friday and I have almost completed the first pipe with it. Looks like it is going to be a straight-grain, blemish-free pipe.

Thank you Rad!

Mine arrived a week or so ago. I just got around to squaring them up tonight and they look OK.
