Thought I'd toss out a billiard

This thing has been sitting around for a while. Very boring grain. I never seemed to get around to finishing it.

I just picked up a flex shaft for my dremel, so this is my first experiment with the thing. The front and back were the only portions where anything was happening with the grain, so I left those as they were.

I used black stain, so I really had to tweak the brightness and contrast for any detail to show. The strange bends of the stem in this last photo are due to the pic editing.

you're right, it's difficult to tell much from the photos provided. the definition between the bowl and shank could use some work. but it looks like a nice smoker. i can't tell how extensive the rustication is either, but it looks nice.
