It is far from finished, but thought I would post it anyway because I had some time. Started it on Sunday morning after taking a break from the Charl/Oom Paul War, and this is how far I got on Sunday. I have been struggling with an Oom Paul for a customer for about a month plus now (cracked shanks, pits, stem breakages etc.), and it is quite nice to know that I can actually every now and then get to something more or less resembling a sort of decent pipe.

I know the stem and shank are not in line, but what do you think?

Looking good, Charl. The shank has some lovely colour and figure to the grain.

Frank.

Nice pipe. I second the comment about grain on the shank.
