The 1/4" shaft was a bit wimpy, but more important, at times it placed my knuckles way

I also chamfered the edge of the aluminium backing disc, as it tended to get in the way when working on well bents.
You need a goodly amount of accuracy to obtain/maintain concentricity of the assembled contraption. I wasn't so lucky, so I have to tweak the wheel itself.

PS. The patchwork on the wheel is assorted velcro I managed to scrounge off THE BOSS.
