Possible SB 9 FS
Possible SB 9 FS
I keep saying, you get one old lathe, the others catch the smell and follow you home. This week I'm driving to Valpariso (sp?), IN to pick up a 9 inch South Bend, probably late 20s or early 30s, change gear (no quick change), working but condition otherwise unknown. A friend of mine bought it on ebay and only wants the floor legs and the overhead drive. I'm going to pick it all up and send him what he wants, I get the rest. Thing is, I need another 9" SB like a hole in the head, so I might just sell it. If there's somebody between here and there who is interested, I would guess I'll ask between 200 and 300, depending on condition. It will need a bench (my friend will provide bench legs) and a drive, I might be able to help with that.
