Off to Rheinbach

Post by TreverT »

I'm about to be off to Rheinbach - look for a show report sometime around the middle of next week, once I've recovered. It'll be my first European show, alongside the likes of Eltang, Barbi, and crew. Yikes, I say, yikes.

I posted a couple of preview pics on my blog in the last two entries, if anyone is interested in previews of the more conventional pieces:

Good for you Trever! Most of what I hear from you in regard to shows is that they end up being too far for you... congrats on making this one! Hope you sell out.

Don't worry, I'll post when I've recovered. I'm now at the point where I've sorted 2182 spam emails from the 45 real ones to be answered, and still have to do beaucoup catch-up work plus photographing and posting the pipes I brought back for the site (sales were great, though!). I think I have about 600 pics and little videos to look through. Jörg's pipe collection is amazing. Look for in-depth reports some vague time in the next day or so.

I think this may be my favorite pic from the show. It's always great to discover another pipemaker is a True Metal Brother. We spent the second half of the show wandering past each other's tables shouting, "MANOWAAAR!" and, "THE GODS MADE HEAVY METAL!" :D

There WILL be actual show pics and pipe pics forthcoming as I get to them, but first things first...

Hehehehe! What was that catroon-esqu band out in the late 80's? Where the lead singer had some sort of bear trap thing on his face and the other band members were all decked out in equally wicked stuff. Was it Gwar? Somthing like that. Yea, that's them. They were awesome. Or at least entertaining.
