I had a commission for a deeply bent poker sitter stack. More of a cherrywood shape, but the pipe had to have some attitude. In addition, the pipe needed to be rusticated.
After I finished shaping the pipe (difficult on this shape), I decided to try a different rustication. I used a dremel with a burr to deeply carve it up and then some chisels to break it up so it doesn't look like it was carved with a rotary tool.
Incidentally, the pipe passes a pipe cleaner with easy. A fluffy goes straight to the bottom without a hitch.
Anyway, I hope you like the results.
Yet Another Rustication
