Where Can I Buy Some Ebonite or Cumberland Rod?

Post by staffwalker »

Does anyone know who is still selling either Cumberland or Ebonite? I can't find any on the web. Pipe makers emporium doesn't even list it any more they used to say out of stock now nothing. This is a heck of a note, now that I have a taig I can't find anything to turn. Before I got a lathe I could find rod at several sites for sale but never bought any just thought I would wait until I needed it.

Andrea at PME does still have ebonite and blue/black cumberland. Just shoot her an email. The prices:

Black
22mm x 20" $35.00
25mm x 20" $45.00

BlueGreen/Black "cumberland"
22mm x 20" $45.00

The regular regular cumberland is on backorder or something.

SEM hasn't yet produced any swirlys, so I might have to purchase a piece or two of PME's to tide me over until an SEM order is worth the shipping.
