I'm going for sure now.
Got a non-refundable, non-changeable ticket and everything.
Great idea Rolf. We can use that bulletin board by the elevators, which is by that bar anyway. If we meet we'll have to do it sometime when the show is not on. That way those of us with tables can meet too.
OR how about a roaming band of you guys visiting those of us who have tables? That way we get to work and you all get to browse, but we also get to meet and chat a bit during the show?
Or just drinks at the bar...

Boy I wish I could go.
That would be a great place to get an education. I could probably get some of you guys to get me to smoking right.
From what I see though it is not that expensive comparitively speaking. I am down to one knife show annually now with my engraving (the Blade Show in Atlanta $450 table). I have done shows where the table was $650 for a two day show and the hotel was $140 a night. then there are travel expenses.
If you guys are able to do a major trade show for $130 a table and $500-$600 for a Wed through Sun stay, you got a good thing going.

Chicago is by far the biggest and most important PipeShow on the planet,
but I do also like the show in L.A.
If I can combine it with a little vacation and I get out of that +-0.00
it is fine with me.
From Germany I get a round trip for about $680US.
There was no show in March this year but there will be a show July 14, 2007:

I support the show as good as I can.
Best,
Rolf

Scott, I'm stoked that you are coming- good for you! Rad, you're too much competition with all those pipes you bring- please stay away this year (looking forward to seeing you and your work!)

Having your pipes critiqued has to be the most totally cool thing about Chicago. I had jess Chonowitsch, Vollmer and Nielsen, Rolando Negoitia and just so many others critique my work last year. It was awesome! And they are all very positive. I talked to Martin Vollmer - or is it Andres? Drat! Anyway, i talked to the guy on Saturday, and he gave me some great tips. Sunday, the guy sought me out because he had thought of a few more suggestions. I mean how cool is that?

LOL Brad, I have not seen chaps and vest since the last Chicago Show.
Don´t know if I still have it. - But we`ll have our beer !
I work on a new project and I opened a coffee-shop for seniors in Cuxhaven, Germany.
Now I work on the foundation of an "Institute of Geriatric Medicine & Gerontology" in Cuxhaven.
In about 100 years - when I start getting old - I will have my own eldercare home !
I will have more information on the show.
And I bring "Rudi" to the show:
Not the red-nosed reindeer - but Rudolf Apelt, a German pipemaker.
15 years he was the master carver in the Design Berlin workshop,
and now works on his own.
It will it all it become very interesting.

Good luck
Hi all
I know many of you will be on the Chicago show these days.
I want to wish to all of you good luck, many smiles and to receive from the show all you expect.
One day maybe I will be lucky to be there with you!
Be happy
