It will be a while before I try another pick axe.

I call this one T-Rex... I tried to make it look somewhat like a T-Rex claw. I didn't stain it, just waxed natural.

It has its' problems, but I'm learning from these mistakes (and discovering my limitations).

I think there were too many things coming together at the shank/bowl intersection. Bad design for a beginner.

Other than fixing the file marks on the top of the bowl-shank transition, you've got a pretty clean looking execution going there. As far as too many things going on at once, that's only going to get harder if you keep doing freehand designs.

I would do the shape again, more simplified, and execute the problem areas a lot better. You might just be cut out for these wild designs.

Not bad really...
