Does Cummings make a good lathe?

I saw this and did a double take. Is this a good deal or are the lathes junk like enco and grizzly

I don't know about Cummings, but Cummins Tool has always made decent tools. I have several I inherited from my grandfather when he died. The electric drill is a little down on torque, but it *is* over 40 years old.

Hi Nick,

It looks similar to the ones by Enco & Grizzly. It's also very small with 12" between centers. It should be ok for stem work.

Okay for stem work only. Don't even think of using these small metal lathes for turning or drilling stummels. Not enough uuumph!
