I don't want to but a whole lot because I don't need a full tin just sitting around.

Just google some prices for Fiebings leather dye.
It's not expensive.

I did last night while i started to do the final finish sanding.
I hope to have the pipe sanded to 1000g by the weekend and ready to stain.
