Very cool Love. I really like (I was gonna say love, but it just sounds funny when its right next to your name - hehehe) the flair on the horn's stem. It really adds a bit of a visual levity to the piece, kind of continuing the horns curvacious flow upwards. It breaks the flow very dramatically and yet you've made the piece very whole. Nicely done.

The apple is cool too, but the shank seems a bit forced to my eye. I like the texture, but its missing that orgainic feel. At least I miss it in the pictures.

Wonderful work, as always.

On the horn shank pipe, why did you make the white ring near the stem rounded and three-dimensional, yet the one between shank and briar is flush?

This disturbs me 8O

Fantastic pipes, both of them! I'm sorry for whining, it's just that when I lock onto little things like that (like kinks in bent stems) it just makes me twitch.. :D

I'll bet your shop smelled *lovely* after turning that horn extension!

Thx Trever :D I love the smell of burning carcass in my shop if i turn some acryllic just after its just like barbicue...

acually i feel like i redisovered horn, as a while back when i was playing with it I was not that good at sharpening my tools and mostly found it troublesome to work with ..but now longer down the line it worked like a charm

now why did i make 2 different shankrings?? hmm I think the effect of the endring sticking out a few milimeters makes it more ok visually to have a slightly smaller stem diameter where its meeting the shank not doing the same in the other end at the bowl because i felt in this case it would seperate the shank from the pipe to much..

Great Love, i like the apple the most and the horn is made in very nice loops(?) up and downs i mean... Hope you get your hands on some good wood when you visit Italy! Tragedy to have to blast the horn cause of major spots, it hurts my soul! But i like them both.....
