The ASP pipe chart describes a zulu as a canted bowl with 1/8 bent stem. My friend wants me to make a zulu. does a canted bowl + 1/8 bend = a straight drilled with a bent stem? I'm just curious.

Hi Josh,
Properly, a Zulu is sort of a cross between a Horn and a Dublin. It has an oval shank and an eighth bent stem. The drilling is actually similar to a Cutty in that the bowl needs to be canted forward about 8 or 10 degrees. Do an image search for Dunhill Zulu, and you should probably turn up something to model your version off of.
Best of luck,
todd
