I was working today on an order for a customer who wants a squashed tomato with my line rustication, but when I saw how clean the wood was and the ring structure (even though it didn't have great grain) I couldn't bring myself to rusticate and add a dark stain. I will make him another one that deserves to be rusticated.

I blasted it, and I've posted the pics in the gallery. I think it came out really nice:

I don't know that I've ever seen a blasted squat tomatoe. Those rings are are really something else! I especialy like the side where it doesn't have the big dip in the lines of the rings, but even that side is very unique.

Very nice pipe!

And thanks for making me want to get a blasting rig even more now :x
