Good morning, Artemisius here. I have another noob question.
Can you explain in detail how you make a spoon bit from a paddle bit? My biggest question is: how do i have to sharpen it? which side?

I also pre drill the center of the hole with a 1/8" bit. This helps to guide the "spoon" bit. It also helps you know when you hit bottom.
I also cut off about 1/4 of the shank of the paddle bit, that will reduce the chatter of the bit when dilling.
Sharpening, the thin edge of the bit it the cutter. I just polish it.
