Pipe Number 2!

Post by EthanEvans-Hilton »

So here is my second attempt. It's a morta piece that started out in my head as a bent bulldog.

No idea what to classify the final product as other than a lopsided mess but I had fun making it and am happy enough with the results, for only my second attempt...

As always, thank you for the advice and pointers. Everyone's help is beyond value!

Keep going, keep making them, each time trying to improve.
I'd shoot for working on symmetry. Take a look at the rim of your bowl.
Go really slow, taking one or two swipes with a file, check swipe check swipe check swipe check
until your rim is exactly the same width around the chamber.

What did you use to shape this one?

I'm a very new maker as well, my friend. So, I won't try and give any critique, but I do like that Celtic knot band you implemented as a decorative piece! Good job, keep on going man!
