Hi all.
My Name is Andy. I'm 51, and I'm located in Oregon.
I've been a pipe smoker for years (decades?) along with other forms of tobacco.
I took up woodturning awhile back, and someone asked me why I didn't make pipes. After mulling that over awhile, I tried a couple unfinished stummels. Then a couple pre-drilled kits. Now I'm drilling my own blocks, but still using pre-made stems.
I'm a boiler technician, and pipe fitter, by trade. A couple years ago I realized that at least half my days are behind me, and I'd wasted a lot of them. I didn't want to squander what I have left on staring at a TV. So I try to make my time count by doing something, anything. I find making things fills that urge.

Welcome.

Use Google instead. Just precede the desired term with the site name you want Google to "focus" on, like so:
