Anyone out there tried anything in the Rubio Monocoat line yet?
Apparently originated as a wood floor finish. Appears to be a linseed oil product that can be used with or without an accelerator.
Tons of colors. Can be had in small sample size bottles.

Re: Rubio Monocoat
All I know is that linseed oil, while I like the smell during its curing phase, doesn't seem like an odor I'd like in my nose while smoking a pipe. It's a pretty distinct fragrance.
Looking at the Monocoat MSDS, it indicates to keep away from hot surfaces - and no smoking. This obviously refers to the uncured state, but I found it funny.
I personally don't have an interest - shellac and wax are faster and more forgiving than an oil-based finish in my experience.
None of the above is meant to be an admonition in any way - if you do try it, please post what you find.
