Would aluminiumoxid sand grit 80-120 be a proper medium for sandblasting pipes?

exact mixtures differ vastly between makers and are often kept secret, but the basic medium that's most used is glass beads.

I use the fine (170-320) grit glass beads. I tried the glass powder but can’t see inside my cabinet with it blowing around. The darker colored media will color the briar, and the only remedy is a second blast with glass to remove the color.
