Re: 2nd billiard attempt
The shank needs a small amount of taper. Easy to overdo, but it must be there for the same reason a small amount of forward bowl cant is necessary. (The human brain+eye assembly demands it.)
UFOs must be real. There's no other explanation for cats.
Re: 2nd billiard attempt
Bowl and transition look very good. I don't see any asymmetries .
I suppose a purist (which I am not) could say that the forward cant is a bit more than the recommended 93-95 degrees.
The shank could use a little taper.
All in All, this is headed to being a nice pipe.

Thanks George and Doc, I will work on giving it a taper and post new pics.

Do YOU remember YOUR first couple of pipes?
It's very difficult to blast those!
Keep it, smoke it as a smooth and in 10 years time look back at it and say: "Wow, why didn't I blast this?".

Re: 2nd billiard attempt
Thanks guy's, I just picked up a blast cabinet this last weekend to do exactly that and because so many of these blocks have pits/flaws. I don't want to try to rusticate them all. Waiting on my new compressor to get here too.Charl wrote: Do YOU remember YOUR first couple of pipes?
