Tyndale
I suppose my part in the making of this was pretty small, but still...
Tyndale Joel Sandahl, 8 lbs 5 oz and 20.5” long. Born this morning at 11:11. He and mother are healthy.

Re: Tyndale
Thanks, Doc and Jesse!
We’re only up to 7 now. We will have to see how well the wife holds up. I always ask her the day she gives birth if she wants to do it again in a couple years. So far, the answer has been yes.

7! Bloody hell, I couldn't even afford 1, let alone 7.
Congratulations. Phew!

Re: Tyndale
I don't know whether to congratulate you or feel sorry for you. I'll go the congrats route. Although, SEVEN??????!!!!!!!
Re: Tyndale
It was a bit of a challenge to get 2 through college, but then they paid for their own graduate degrees. (Medical school and a masters in education).
Seven is going to be a bit of a challenge, but it will work out. Raise them well and they will become responsible citizens, prepared to meet those challenges.
My greatest pleasure was realizing that I enjoy spending time with my adult children and their children.
I enjoyed meeting your family in Chicago, they are nice folks.

Re: Tyndale
Thanks all!
Yes, 7 children is a lot, but there’s at least reason to the madness. We value children and want to pass along to the next generation, and we want to enjoy grandchildren when we’re old. I guess there are a hundred other reasons that go into it, but each one brings us joy.
And I certainly can’t be a full time pipe maker until I’ve got a fairly large nest egg built up. The older kids are starting to pull their own weight with chores and also saving up for college by making pipes.

Yes. In light of the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, it seemed appropriate. But we liked Tyndale better than Martin, Luther, or William.JMG wrote:Did you guys name him after William?
Re: Tyndale
It's a cool name. I actually just got a new Tyndale Press Bible last month. All the pages individually falling out of my old one finally got to me. I'm hoping this one will last the rest of life.sandahlpipe wrote:Yes. In light of the 500 year anniversary of the Reformation, it seemed appropriate.
