I like to carve

We all make stuff other than pipes, so here's a place where "anything goes" as far as showing off some of your projects and other hobbies.

I like to carve

Post by timberwolfer21 »

My first pipe was a Dr. Grabow freehand. I wanted a pipe rest for it. I found a neat ceramic figure of a dude holding a cello and the cello was hollowed out for the pipe to rest in.

I got the idea that it'd be really cool to hand carve a dude sitting on the floor holding an old wooden bucket and the pipe would rest in it.

I joined an online carving forum who gave me a lot of advice and critiques and I ended up with this:

I was hooked! That was 2009.

Here is some of my latest work:

The turkey being set up for dinner tickles my fancy.
Nice work!
