I need vulcanite rod

Post by ScoJo »

Is anyone selling any? Where should I look? I am obsessed with a pipe I found online that I would like to try to recreate (I know it won't look the same, but I'm going to try). Problem is it has a hand-turned stem and a triangular shank. I guess I've resigned myself that this cannot be done with one of my pre-formed stems...

Scott, that guy that sold us our drill bits told me he had vulcanite. You could give him a try and see if he does or not. Let me know what you find out too...

I'll have some I can spare in a week or so. If you're still looking, ping me then.

Scott,

I've seen the pipe of which you speak, and I'd bet a dollar it is a preformed stem. I've seen stems exactly like that. Not to disuade you from your hand-cutting efforts, but it is not absoutely necessary in this case.
