Gloredo Pipe Cleaners

Post by d.huber »

Anyone know what happened to these? I bought a ton of them 4 years ago and am about to run out.

Smokingpipes doesn't have them anymore and I haven't found anywhere else that does. Anybody got any info or leads?

Me too! I bought a bunch about 3 years ago. I have 8 left.

Isn't there a German brand that's really high quality. They're striped as I recall. White and blue maybe? Anyone know which brand that us?

Vauen. Also available in white. For me, the one & only brand, I don't use other pipe cleaners than these.

Searched around for the Vauen and found the white and blue ones but they're the bristle kind. I couldn't find the white ones anywhere online in the states. Seems Vauens are a lot more expensive than the standard. The Gloredos were almost the same price as the BJ Long cleaners, if I remember correctly.

Just bought a case of extra fluffy BJ Long. Sigh. Gloredo, I shall miss you!

Tho the name might lead one to believe they are of Italian origin they are apparently Chinese. There is a line of Chinese pipes that bears the Gloredo name.

Found them on smoker's haven: http://www.smokershaven.com/browseprodu ... .-Bag.HTML
... and, yes, that is not exactly cheap.
