Another tamper...

We all make stuff other than pipes, so here's a place where "anything goes" as far as showing off some of your projects and other hobbies.

Sorry...tampers are currently my only connection to pipe making. The tamper section is made of Walnut and the pick is ebony, all local wood. It still has some final sanding to be done and buffing, but this gives you the idea.

Thats a sweet look. I hope you don't mind if I give a try at making one thats similar. I love the ribbon look.
It's better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

Not at all. My patent is not finalized just yet, :lol: It's actually a pretty easy design to make. Just drill the center out first and then work the spiral with a dremel or round file and just grind it all the way into the center chamber. The rest is just shaping. Let me know how it comes out for you.
