Three new tampers I made.

We all make stuff other than pipes, so here's a place where "anything goes" as far as showing off some of your projects and other hobbies.

Very nice lookin tampers. I need to learn how to use my mini metal lathe so I can make those brass bottoms you have there. That looks like those are a lot of fun to make.

metal lathe is a very handy tool...
but i didn't use lathe to turn the bottoms, they are just glued on.
you can just use a saw to cut a piece of brass and glue them together.
to make these three tampers, you only need a sander (disc or belt), and some sandpaper, maybe a buffing wheal for the finish.

Cheers.

Hi Ernie,
I got the ox horn online in China.
I live in China by the way. :D
They are not the best quality ones, and a bit small.
But there are some better ones. They are 16cm to 20cm long, and about 12usd for one piece.
