New pocket knives

We all make stuff other than pipes, so here's a place where "anything goes" as far as showing off some of your projects and other hobbies.

New pocket knives

Post by KurtHuhn »

Had one of those days where I found some "me time". Managed to make a couple folding knives:

First is a swayback wharncliffe. 2.75" blade, 3.8" closed, O1 tool
steel at 60-61 RC, canvas micarta handle with stainless pins, relieved
liners for integral washers.

Next is a traditional clip-point blade. 2.75" blade, 3.8" closed, O1
tool steel at 60-61 RC, canvas micarta handle with stainless pins,
relieved liners for integral washers.

As a side note, these are the first composite images that I've
created. Knives lend themselves particularly well to this image style.

These are actually for sale. I figured I'd post them here rather than in the "pipes for sale" section since... well... they ain't pipes. $150 each takes them home.

What? And use liners?

Let me get the folding seax out of the way first, Alan. Then you can start prodding my to use liners.
