Just Playing Around

I've been just having fun in the shop lately. I got tired of prepping my flake tobaccos in tin lids or whatever I could find to keep it contained while I rubbed it out so I made this little dish out of some koa my father brought me back from Hawaii a few years ago. The tamper is zebrawood with aluminum. I didn't make the lighter.

That's really nice! I was thinking about making a dish as well out of some apple wood that I have.

Yep, once you get the edges of wood turning is really smooth and somewhat meditative

I need to make something like this soon, my mother wants a small ring/earring dish for her bedside table.

I didn't realize it but Scott Tinker has been making these dishes. And here I thought I was being original.
