I was hoping someone could give Me a brief rundown of how things happen at the show. I went last year but only on Sunday because I thought that was when the general public went. I think I missed a lot by not going for all the days. If Your not a vendor do You pay an admission fee for all four days and then talk to people, smoke and joke, pick peoples brain, give Rad a bottle of 12 year old scotch, buy sasquatch a beer, talk to Tyler, etc? I would like to bring a couple of pipes for comments but not be a pain in the butt, so what is acceptable and what is considered being rude? I am attending this year so I would appreciate some guidelines, thanks for all advice, Norm

Norm,
Feel free to bring your pipes for comments. Most all pipe makers are more than willing to help. Just be ready for critique and listen. Some will be honest and some will go "That's nice". Ask for an honest answer.
A far as the show goes, most action is in the tent. That's where you can join in the camaraderie and have fun.
Rad likes beer!
Questions are not out of line, but be aware of body language and you'll be fine.
What is a two day show is actually a five day show for most of us. It's a time when we are able to see friends, customers and fellow pipe makers.
I don't recall Sas ever making the show.
I don't know what the admission fee is, but it doesn't matter, it's well worth the cost for those not exhibiting. There's a wealth of knowledge and contacts to be made.

He was there last year. Spent most his time in a dark corner of the smoking tent, making out with Ernie Markle.

When do most folks show up? This'll be my first time going as well- I'd like to plan as well as possible.

Brut Weaver covered all the vitals. Come out wednesday if you can make it that early.
