Major Nith Private Reserve

Major Nith Private Reserve

English/American Hybrid

I know it a bit of an ostentatious name but I wanted something British / Regal sounding. Nith stands for (Not In The House) which is what my wife said upon smelling the weed in my briar. (I am also working on a blend called Revenge of the Nith).

1 Part Burley Light Without A Bite by Tinderbox
1 Part Stokkeby Bulls Eye (contains VA, Perique & Black Cavendish)
1/2 Black Cavendish
1/4 Latakia (Cyrian)
small amount of Carolina Flake to aid in keeping lit

I pressed it for about a week using two boards and some adjustable clamps. Then I rubbed it out really good and tinned it.

Let some sit out about 10 min's prior to packing your briar.

Great end of the day smoke. I made a batch and split it up for immediate enjoyment and for cellaring (tinned July 08). I haven't opened the cellered tin yet but plan on it for my birthday (Nov) and will update. It will have aged 4 to 5 months. I will update post enjoyment.

I will also plan on trying this with a VA subbed for the Burley even though the Bulls Eye is a VA. Maybe that will be the Revenge of the Nith blend.

Please try this or some variation there of and let me know what you think.

Drink with something hefty. A good Barley Wine and this should knock your socks off.
