I've been thinking a lot about pipe making. So many skills go into it that it's fairly difficult to place it neatly in any one category. even if it was good to smoke, holly gets dirty and scratches easily. which would be a good indicator that I would burn out.

yeah, all my buffs are soft 8" and ive never had a fly away. I keep my speed down to around 700-850rpm.

as I understand it, a spit coat is simply called that because it is a thinner cut of shellac which will be applied and then wiped off. not creating a heavy layer, but rather a spin coat/thin coat on the pipe
