Re: Tinned Tobacco For Sale!

I've sold a little bit of the tobacco....... But have a lot to sell still. Again, I'll try to get thru my aged in jars and will make a new list when I do that. If your in to aged tins this is a chance to pick some up as I have quite a variety of different blends. A few that are harder to get due too...

Tinned Tobacco For Sale!

I am also selling off a bunch of my tobacco. Most has 5-7 years age on it. Some a bit more. I have a complete list of what I have with my prices. When it's gone, it's gone. I have about 90 tins and a few factory sealed 8oz bags. I priced these a couple years ago but the prices are as on the list. If...

For Sale PME Frenchwheel!

I have for sale a French wheel that I bought at PME when I first got into pipe making. For some reason I never used it and I had even forgotten that I had it. I found it recently when I was looking thru stuff in the shop. I'd like to sell it. Right off hand I can't remember what size it is, but I'm ...

Re: Finally, After 3 Years

You'll find so many more things you can do with the bigger lathe, besides the pipe making. Chinese stuff can be quality, depending on the brand and type equipment. Looks like a nice one and you should enjoy it. Have fun learning anew on it. It's also nice that your wife is able to get out and work i...

Give the wife a "Trip" sale!

A little back story first....... so hang with me! My wife was diagnosed about 6 years ago with Lupus. She worked for 10 years fighting the symptoms and set backs before they finally figured out what was causing all her problems. This all has caused her extreme problems both physically and mentally. ...

Re: Supernova 2 help

For the price they cost, I think in 8 years you probably got your moneys worth. I'd keep it for not so critical work and buy another, good for hopefully another 8 years, chuck. They jaws from yours should fit right on it too, which saves the purchase of more.

My Devil Anse!

Well, it's been quite some time. I haven't worked on making a pipe in over 2 years. I lost my dad and brother both in a 6 month period and it hit me harder than I wanted to admit. Between that and then helping my mom with things at her house over the term of a couple years and work, I just lost inte...

Re: Gourd Calabash

Thanks Scotties. I'll get a measurement. I wanted to show a couple pictures of the pipe I'm working on. The size of this pipe is 6" from front of gourd to end of stem and it's 2 1/2" tall. It isn't the nicest calabash but should make a nice little smoker. And, I'll get some good practice w...

Re: Gourd Calabash

Wow, that stuff isn't cheap....... I'll look around and see if I can find a better price before I make a purchase. But, thanks for the heads up on what I need. This is a cute little calabash. About the smallest I've seen and I'd like to give it a new life. It's been sitting in the bin for several ye...

Re: PITH 2016!!!!!!

I thank you. It's been a while since I did any pipe work at all. Every time I'm in the shop working on jaws or anything else I look around and see all my supplies. Makes me think, I ought to sell it. Then I think about how much I enjoyed doing pipe work and making pipes and just can't bring myself t...

Re: PITH 2016!!!!!!

Ok, I admit I haven't worked on a pipe in quite some time. (Too many reasons to explain) I even quit smoking a pipe. But, I've found myself starting to pick the pipe back up and even picked up something in the scrap/parts pipe bin last night and started working on it. Anyway, in searching informatio...

Gourd Calabash

I'm just getting back into pipe stuff after a long time away for many reasons. I was in the shop last night digging thru a scrap bin and found a decent little gourd calabash. It has an extension that is cracked and wasn't glued in anymore. So I decided to make a blue and white acrylic extension for ...

Re: I Want A Metal Lathe

Grizzly tools are decent for the money. Sometimes there are changes that can be made to them to improve them but basically they work great. I think you'll be happy with the lathe you posted and it will do many different things. As for the stand, if you have the means to make your own, you can do so ...

Re: Lathe Chuck Advice.

I'd have to measure again but I'm thinking the jaws I make will open up over 3" with any of the chucks I've made them for. I'm also trying to come up with something that will allow you to hold the square pen blanks using the same set of jaws. I have made one attempt so far and after looking at ...
