Thanks for this post very interresting. The french pipemaker Pierre Morel says it is not possible to drill a pipe accurately without a lathe. I don't know who he is, but I've drilled pipes accurately both with a drill press and with a hand drill. Maybe he meant his own skill though. Not possible? T...

Yeah, the finish work on the stem is pretty shitty. I've done a couple of stems like that, and it's a real pain in the ass to get everything all smoothed out...

That said, if I had some extra money, I'd totally buy this pipe and smoke the hell out of it, proudly, in public even!

5. If there's a compromise to be made between form and function, form wins. I respectfully disagree... In a high grade pipe, there should never be a need for a compromise between the two. Otherwise, a pipe is a pipe, and not just a piece of furniture, because it is meant to be smoked. In this regar...

After reading Rad's "Meet the Gang" post, I've decided I don't want to become the character, known as the "Expert", who criticizes everyone else's work but never post photos of his own.

So below will be posted some photos of some of my latest pipes...

I like the shape of the stummel, and it works very well as a churchwarden. It's nice. I'd smoke it!
