Re: Smooth "Scottie" Canted Egg

Scottie was just looking at the pipe again. Have a question:
Do you pass the stainless tubing all the way into the chamber? I'm sorry I didn't notice it before. Do you do all your pipes this way when using ss tubing? Thanks

Was thinking of the same thing. It would take less time. Any dissenting opinions?

Re: Restoration

Thanks for showing us your pipe. I also enjoy restored pipes as well as working on pipes considered past their prime. I learn a lot when I try restoring pipes.

smokindawgs jaws

Man Steve made a set of jaws for an aftermarket chuck I bought for one of my Sherlines. WOW! They are great. Perfect fit, great machining and the gripping portion is spot on. I certainly highly recommend Steve and his work. Thanks Steve! Anyone needing a reasonably priced and well made jaws drop smo...

Re: Knife for trade. (DONE)

I would certainly trade you a pre-drilled block but don't have what you require for the stem. The knife is GREAT. I am sure that one day you will have your own shop for knife and pipe making. The best of luck to you. Keep showing us your work's.

Re: Tools for rustication

I made a tool from finishing nails with the heads removed, 1/4" stainless tubing threaded at one end. Set as many nails as you can fit into the tube. With the sharpened end of nails protruding from the unthreaded end of tubing . Pack clay into that end and fill the other end with epoxy glue. Af...

Re: Selling Like Hotcakes

I started smoking a pipe my parents gave me for Christmas. They didn't want me to take up smoking cigarettes so they gave me a nice Danish pipe and my first pouch of tobacco. I was 17 years old. What they didn't know was I had been smoking cigs since I was about15 I think. By the way I am soon to be...

Re: Super Duper Ultra Extreme Mega Secret

He got to sit on his first bike this weekend. My Uncle started it up and my little guy went nuts. He LOVES the loud sounds. I should have taken a picture, but was dealing with dinner and missed out. That's totally awesome Scottie. I have loved motorcycles since I was a little fella myself. Of cours...

Re: Who's Gettin a New Shop ? This Guy

What an awesome place! I had a shop less than the width of a single car space in my garage. In it I made custom fishing rods on both sides and silver jewelry one end and miscellaneous tasks on the other side. Your shop is HUGE!
