It isn't that long if you use the youtube feature to watch it in 2x speed. I have watched it several times, and most of those were at 2x speed. I learned a lot from watching, and It has upped my stem game tremendously. Thank you George!

Nice! I didn't know how valuable pin gauges were until I got my hands on some at the Briar Lab. Indispensable for touch-ups, and screw-ups.

Re: Facing small extension pieces without a large.
A few things you could try. If it is square stock you could cut it with a table saw or miter saw. The end would require some clean up though. If it's round you could do the same by making a vee block out of wood and feeding that through the saw. If you are trying to face it perpendicular to and exis...

Re: The current state of this forum

Possibly another reason in the decline is the fact that you don't need to be a member ...

Re: PITH 2015
I will have to withdraw from the trade. I am not even close to finished with the pipe, and I will be out of town for the next week. When I get back I will have to make 24 pipes to pay the bills for August. I apologize for giving late notice.

Re: My First Commission, Pipe #10
So you guys have the first twenty pipes you made just sitting on a shelf? yes. the first 60-70 actually. I didn't sell any pipes until i had been making pipes for 3 years. I put a lot of time and money into it at the beginning, knowing that there wouldn't a way to get it back. I considered it payin...
