pipe 3 small rhodesian
I was smoking some ODF and realized it was like poking a bear with a stick, it's fun but man it can give you a wallop, so I thought I needed a smaller bowl for it, so I figured I try and make one I used a 5/8 chamber about 1 1/4 deep and one flake fill the bowl just below the top I didn't lock down ...

When to rusticate
I tried searching the forum but I couldn't find anything my question is in what stage of the finish do you rusticate?
I was planning on doing most of the sanding except for the last two grits then I was going to do the rustication and then finish with the fine grits?

Re: 2nd pipe an agg
no once I clamp the briar or stem I don't unclamp it, but I have turned the whole vice, I only have a small 10" bench drill press, so I have been lining up the bit and briar/stem one way and then turning the vise 90 degrees to drill, I wonder if that is the culprit
Thanks Sas

2nd pipe an agg
this time I concentrated on the finish to try and get a better shine than I had the last time, the last one I used a small 4" wheels on a hand drill, this time I went and purchased some 6" wheels and used them on my drill press.. big difference, Also this time I used a new preformed stem b...

Re: Buffing station upgrade.
Oh ok I have never worked a metal lathe and I have little experience with a wood lathe, so I never saw one b4.
hope fully my experience level will change soon cause trying to drill stems on my bench top drill press was quite the chore today

Re: Small Sandblaster ideal for pipes
yeah I know I would have found this item and tried it and wasted my time and money so thanks for asking!
1st try
This is my first ever attempt to make a pipe, I don't have all the fancy tools I used a bench top drill press, a delta 6inch/disk 4inch belt combo sander, and hand files, and buffing wheels on a hand drill, the stem is a recycled stem from an estate yelo-bole pipe that the stummel was cracked, I lik...
