there is something wrong with me cause I think the older the lathe the more awesome it looks.

I just bought a 9x19 grizzly that I am going to try and use I also have a wood lathe I was thinking of getting a chuck for it and using that for the stummel and the 9x19 for stems

the Xikar my kids got me for Chirtmas took some getting used to, but now I got her dialed in, it seems to be pretty close the same as a match IMO

yeah that would be awesome Walt, right now I use a saw blade on my dremel to start the slot and then make the funnel with 1/16 tapered diamond tip on my dremel and work it back and forth till I get the funnel and then I clean it up with micro files and then fold up tiny pieces of 400 and 600 grit to...

I have a bunch of old nimrod lighters, I havent used any, but they are cylindrical in shape and have a wick like a zippo and the lid slides to open and close

is the white diamond the hi luster 1200 grit? or is it the other white tripoli stuff? PME doesnt list anything as white diamond

I have been using the predrilled delrin bits from pme I think I would prefer using delrin rods, where do y'all buy them from? rev are you speaking of the ones that thread into the stem? that is what I have been using they seem to work well but drilling and taping lucite isn't a lot of fun, I will b...

Thanks for the advice! I was going for a horn shape, I was afraid if I took more from the shank there would be too drastic of a transition from the bowl to the stem and it would look like a spindly horn, I was thinking of what a steer horn looked like when I was shaping it.
