In fine sanding the stem (where it goes into the mortise) I think I took the stem shoulder out of alighnment with the stem itself. I tweek it tonight. Thanks

Fitting the Stem
I've made the pipe and it's impressive by my standards. Now to the stem. I got a pre-made one from Pimo and perhaps made a mistake of sanding the tenon so it fits better into the mortise. This sanding has resulted in the there being a gap btw the stem and the mortise. You can see the gap. What can I...

Quick question. What kind of store would customarily stock carnauba wax and the different types of buffing wheels generally used by the pipe-making community. Home Depot probably has the buffing but what about the wax? Thanks

I started my first pipe this weekend and other than the knowledge that I can do it, I have decided that dust collection is a concern. thanks for the warm greeting. I'm going to jump in this weekend. I'm going to with a classic shape pipe. I have a Grizzley 14" drillpress and a bandsaw and thought I might use a router bit in the drillpress to make the tobacco hole. thanks all

Introduction
Thought I'd just introduce myself as someone who has some power tools smokes a pipe and thought I'd try my hand at making one. Just got the book and an abauchon from Pimo and will have a go. Seems pretty complicated but we'll see shortly. Thanks
