Re: Small Sandblaster ideal for pipes
3" = the amount of drill travels.... I suppose the 10" is how far the platform can be cranked up and down. I can still drill with it, drilled about 20 pipes on it so far, but I have to reset things to sometimes finish one hole and had to cut my drills shorter to use the platform at all. I...

SAS (Swiss Army Smoker)
Here it is! Check it out! The World's First "SAS"!! The name was given to the pipe by "sas", therefore it has been named after him as "SAS", which also stands for "Swiss Army Smoker"! (...with that intro. we'll probably see another post from "sas", a...

Re: Small Sandblaster ideal for pipes
I did learn two things. Need a bigger blaster and newbies should be seen and not heard. Thank you for the lessons. Newbies are welcome and wanted. Much better to say something, get feedback and maybe be wrong than to not say anything at all and we all potentially miss out. Your thread has po...

Re: Built in tamper
I was able to start making the SAS (Swiss Army Smoker) and I figured I'd do the tool inserts before I start shaping the pipe, that way I'd have plenty of briar to play with. The tools will be slightly force fitting to hold them in place and shaped with thumb push-up type openers on each side or a li...

Re: Built in tamper
Well, that's no wonder. Think of the size of the pot pipe smoking market as compared to the tobacco pipe smokers. I hardly know anyone that smokes a tobacco pipe around here and lot of the others.....and also, you'd probably have to be a bit de-ranged to even think of the idea! hahaha! Holiday stuff...

Re: Wierd marks in grain....please help
BTW....You'll notice in the picture of me in the last post, I'm carring a knife in a leather case on my belt. I'm carring a leatherman in it, but "SURPRISE" when you lift up on it a hoster slides out of my pants with a pipe and tobacco pouch hidden in it...or whatever!.....sometimes I like...

When you've been around as long as I have, you'll begin to understand how creepy heeheehees are. They are not humorous at all. They are creepy. They make people insane. Rad I agree it is kinda creepy in a Moe Lester sort of way. I've been on a Stephen King kick for a while now, and suddenly find &q...

A 50/50% mix of Altadis--Heavy English 503 & Sterling Tobacco--1776 Briar Creek Natural....I didn't care for either of them very much, so I throw them together and that blend became my daily smoke! It doesn't taste at all like either of them...it's good stuff. (Most things good in my life I neve...

Re: Built in tamper
I think this one will be pretty close to it, but as a pipe and in briar of course. But, I'm not sure if it's so good to have the gun power that close to the smoke hole....but, I'll work it out! http://search.aol.com/aol/imageDetails?s_it=imageDetails&q=swiss+army+pipe&img=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ge...

Re: Built in tamper
Google "Swiss Army Pipe" and see what you've been missing. Well, I drew up the plans for it and will probably get started on the briar tomorrow, after I pick up some of those "5 Hour Energy" drinks. I'm going to name it the "Sas" pipe, dedicated to you for your helping...
