Bowl is made from apple-wood and stem is bought from tobaccoshop.

I used three woods in this pipe. Bowl is made from apple tree, inlay is teak and stem is made from plum tree.

Here is the picture from tools which I use to drill the holes : http://www.kolumbus.fi/satu.laitinen/tools.jpg And Jeff asked how I keep the pipe steady, here is answer: I keep the pipe in my left hand and push drill with my right hand, I don't have any vise or something and I don't need them :lol:

I will tell here something what I know about birch burl, if somebody is interested about it. Many trees can have burls. I don't know how or where burls come, but in most cases burls are in sick or old trees, perhaps it's some disease ? I have worked with couple blocks of birch burl and here is my op...

Here is the top view, you asked: http://www.kolumbus.fi/satu.laitinen/pahka1_5.jpg As you can see the hole is in corner, which is not good thing but at least the hole is in bottom of heel. I will try this soon and tell is it good or not. I used bee&carnaubawax mix, which I bought from local pain...
