Re: bending stems
Yep! Exactly what Chris said!I use a heat gun. A vice holds it so I have two hands free. Only takes me a few minutes to bend even a thick stem and i like how even and controlled the heating is with little chance of scorching.

I've used them for years mixed with alcohol, although the last few years I've used them less and less because like Kurt, I prefer Feiblings for the same reasons.

I have use both of powder, trans fast......and a liquid, transtint for years both made for water. I use alcohol with no problems. The last two years though I've branched out to include Feibling's leather dyes, very nice indeed. http://www.woodcraft.com/Search2/Search.aspx?query=transtint Dan Gabriel...

Re: New Pipe Question
Some might accuse you of smoking something else in a pipe that small, Dan. I've got a handful of pipes with *very* small chambers - 5/8 and 1/2, that are absolutely awesome for short smokes of very fine cut tobacco. Load a pipe like that with some Balkan Sasieni and it's awesome while watchin...

I've always had success cutting "teeth" on the tube itself and driving it in with the tailstock. Mostly use this method with horn extensions.

Re: T-88 failure
Staff, I've only had T-88 fail on me once, my fault. I'm cheap and I new it was old and should have been replaced....live and learn. One thing I haven't done in a long time, is mix equal parts. This is a tip I picked up on their website. I use a little less of the hardener, yes you heard right. They...
