Now what about shaft size? The motor I'm looking at does not have a shaft size that corresponds with an arbor from Time West or the Pipe Makers Emporium as far as I know.

I'm looking at a baldor buffing motor on Craigslist right now. It seems to be in great condition but I'm worried about the shaft size and speed. The shaft is 3/4 and I know that the arbors sold by Tim West are 1/2 and 5/8. I'm concerned about the speed as well. The motor is single speed and the guy ...

A 3/4 HP baldor that reaches 1750 rpm should be just fine I would hope?

I would love to go through with something of this nature. I recently created a thread asking to see if there were any pipe makers/smokers in the mid-west area and there were a few who said they were!
I live in Michigan so I am more than willing. Please keep us posted about this!
