They are all very nice! I really like the Rhodesian and can see you've developed a couple great rustication techniques. I have yet to attemp any rustication and these are inspiring to me. Thanks for sharing your work.

Re: 2014 Pipe In The Hat Trade.

Just took a couple quick picks of a 60's GBD prince I have. This is what I plan to model my entry after, with the exception of maybe blasting rather than smooth. This IMO is a prime example of a classic English made prince. http://i959.photobucket.com/albums/ae77/Twisted_Whiskerz/9E4EB664-321C-417E-...

Re: Dust Collection Vs. Dust Expulsion

I have my shop sealed up pretty good in the winter. I have a gas well and have an old school (early 1900's) natural gas heater that gets the frost and some humidity out of the air, then I have an electric space heater ill add to it if it gets into the teens or lower. The only thing I have in the win...

I like the prince shape, its a very elegant shape, and seemingly simple. You know the the billiard simple :banghead: I would like to be a part of this.

Re: Designing my first pipes

On the wall thickness: I try to keep mine a minimum of 3/16 to 1/4 or .250. However I have a pipe that has a wall that is only 1/8 or .125 thick and it has done just fine. I did coat the chamber for protection. I personally wouldn't sell a pipe with less than 3/16 wall. It also depends on quality of...

Re: International shipping?

You have to fill out a customs form. The post office will give you the proper forms and will be less than happy to explain. Also your customer will be very happy if you write gift on the form, it may save them a lot of money for the customs charges they have to pay to receive their package. Hope thi...

Re: Woo Hoo going to get some instruction from Grant

Yeah dude that FN rocks! I can't believe you pulled it off and raised the money that fast. And to work with Grant, I'm a little jealous. Love his work, and he builds and plays guitars. I would love to make a pipe, and jam some guitar with him. Also he lives in Nashville right down the rd from my maw...

This is one cool looking pipe! I love the lines on this. It has an edgy, sleek, fast, grim reeper slasher look to it.

Thanks Wayne, and Charl, all of your suggestions and encouragement mean the world too me. I'm hoping to have a solid contest pipe for Kansas City show. Hoping to make a few more dublin shaped pipes in the next few weeks and get that one that say I'm a winner, I belong :D Wayne, definitely looking fo...

Bent Dublin

Well I finally finished this bent Dublin tonight. It's ok, but I envisioned something better as far as finish and was going to rusticated it but I kind of liked the grain and went with it. I should have done the rustication. I think it would have turned out better if I did something similar to a don...
