Really nice pipe, Wayne! I'll offer you some feedback that I received in Richmond. With symmetry and asymmetry, both work best when you embrace one completely instead of go half way. To me, on this pipe, you went half way. The composition leans more towards symmetry than asymmetry and my eyes want ...

There is a wealth of information on this subject. Search and you'll find many postings on this subject, as with many other questions you might have. There's a scad of info to be had. Sand to 400, then stain your undercoat. Then you can sand with either 400 or 600 to remove a majority of the undercoa...
