Re: cellaring tobacco

I have tried keeping everything in a journal and thought about using this site. In the end I don't ever remember to write down what I add and kinda like the surprise of digging around and finding something I had forgotten about. I do put a label on things when I add them to my cellar...so at least ...

Re: What is a Pipe Turd?

Oh, this is hilarious. Fascinating thing is when I first started to make pipes it was a pre-drilled block and was a POS but I thought it was GREAT! My wife thought it was great, my son did as well and many friends were, oh so impressed! But it was a turd, no doubt. I've made about ten or so since th...

"What process was used before the advent of electricity?"

Clay pipes and molds! Sorry, couldn't resist.

Re: Some of Todd's factory thread got cross-posted on PipesM

Agreed Oakbear. I am a member of many, many FB pipe groups and other social media groups and many of the pipes being shown are, well, in Todd's words "turds" which are receiving "wows" and "Oh MYs!" as if they are the next incarnation of, well, take your pic of legendar...

Re: I have a website

Be careful of spelling, engineer is spelled incorrectly. I'm a bit of a spelling/English Nazi but I always believe on a website one has to be careful.

Otherwise, looks good and good luck with completing it.

And, thanks for your service!

This will be the last year for this show. Been running 30 years, and this is it. Sad. I might try to go, just to go, though it will be tough as I will be away from Atlanta the 1st through the 5th.

Damnit!

I don't know, Charl has asked the question of a lifetime! But I had a colonoscopy about a year ago. It was supposed to be "midnight" sedation, you know, you're kind of in a floaty place but still awake, aware? Right, I was out like a light, woke up, no issues, good report, "Come back ...

I have been to the store, not in the back. Actually, when I stopped there I had no idea it was the physical home of Smokingpipes.com, it is named differently. The store is, well, unbelievable. I was in Myrtle Beach playing golf and just stumbled across it.

What the hell. I have not really commented much, more lurking and learning and the information you guys/gales provide is really appreciated. But I really think Tyler is right. Sure, many here may think they are in it for the living, but those numbers are, I suspect, quite small no matter what each p...

Pipe display clips

Have been thinking about making pipe displays that can be hung on the wall. I've considered many different types of "holders" for the pipes but really like the rubber covered "clips" that you see on so many of the store displays. Anyone know where these can be purchased? Help wou...
