Hi Scott, Very nice pipe, I like it. Opposite to Rad I like namely this curve in the shank where the shank is maybe a little bit thick but this makes the bend so graceful. Another thing I found in this curve. Maybe it can be done more light from the middle to the bowl and fitting… I can’t see it rea...

Hi I thing the second one is much better. I prefer deep blast myself. In my hands is one NUMBUS pipe blasted very deep but from one side from the other one is not so deep. In the deep blasted side there is beautiful ring grain – on the other side no. I personally prefer deep blasting the opposite lo...

I purchase from Andrea too. The ebonite is fine and the service too. You can try this http://shop.hermanns.dk the price is better for me but I am in Bulgaria. And one more thing hermanns rods are 1m in length !! You can compare the prices. These 2 sources are best for me.

Oh, yes I know this! Thanks for the pictures. The truth is I absolutely have no plans to make something (or pipe) asymmetric when I start it. … you are right for the edges and for the grain of course. Actually I finish this pipe like an experiment it is drilled badly. Nothing more! Also this … thing...

For the first problem if you have a lathe get metal rods in different sizes to make small holders for the mortise hole and turn the shank end so it is 90 degrees to the mortise. if you have a sharp cutter sanding the shankend with 4-600 on a flat surface going in figure of eights should be sufficie...

Hi Love I’ve been watching on this pipe maybe around one hour. 8O It is just like pipes I like and it seems it is perfectly made. I like especially the inlay (what is the material?), the thin ebonite mouthpiece and the beautiful grain. What is the weight of this pipe? It is wonderful for me. Best, G...

Hi everyone To Nick Maybe the shank looks little thin in the pictures for the stem but it just extend the bowl shape. Of course this is in my opinion. And maybe the pics are a little distort. sand the shank end smooth like the rest of the pipe it looks sloppy and draws down on the over all impressio...
Hi this is really nice ballerina very graceful and fine. I like it and if I must be honest I feel little envious. I especially like this nice twist in front of the bowl. I never worked with ebony but in my personal opinion the furel must be more precise glued to the shank. But maybe I am wrong becau...

For your question about the slot. I use the dremel cutter and then needle files. I have been wanting to get the set of broaches from Woodcraft for opening up the slot. They look very interesting. Hi Thank you! What is this set of broaches? Can you provide a link or something like this? I don’t know...

Thank you all To Love About darkening – agree. I’ve try to make dark bamboo staining it but :) unsuccessful as you can see. Never mind! The pipe is a great smoker :-)) I will try with soft sanding for finishing of the bamboo part and to work mostly on shank / stem. Must have more experience… To Kurt...
